Start of Sarajevo

This project aimed to assist in the restoration of cultural and social activities for children and young people in Sarajevo, by directing aid and helping key local groups.

• to promote contact with local organizations in order to direct aid
• to promote international recognition of Sarajevo as a cultural centre
• to support and encourage local organizations

The Sarajevo team worked closely with the Children's Football Club of Bubamara, the Fenix Children's Group, the Kuk Club (a unique centre for young people directed by the medical students of Sarajevo, both a social centre and a performance space), the Sarajevo Artists' Foundation, and a festival "Tamna Strana Disneylanda" (The Dark Side of Disneyland), which was held in November 1995.
